Office Policies
Cancellation Policy
While we understand that unforeseen situations arise, we ask that patients make every effort not to change dental appointments. Broken and missed appointments create scheduling issues for other patients as well as the practice. If you find that you must change your appointment, we require a minimum of 48 hour notice so that we may accommodate other patients. We reserve the right to apply a charge for missed or broken appointments without sufficient notification.
So that we can provide timely service to all our patients, patients that arrive fifteen minutes past their scheduled appointment time will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
Thank you for understanding the value of our cancellation policy to each of our patients.
Insurance & Financing Policy
As a courtesy to our patients, we are happy to file insurance claims to your insurance provider. However, regarding dental insurance, you must know:
- Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your employer; we are NOT a party to that contract, our relationship is with YOU, not the insurance company.
- We will estimate for you the portion of your total fee which we anticipate your insurance company will pay. The remaining, or patient portion is due in full on the date of service. This estimate is based on information provided to our office from you, your insurance provider and our previous experience with your policy. Our estimate of the insurance portion may not reflect year to date maximum allowances and/or deductibles or dental treatment done in other offices.
- Regardless of what your insurance company pays, or does not pay, you are responsible for the total charges of treatment.
- We believe that it is still possible to deliver quality dentistry in a caring environment. Quality dentistry requires attention to detail and time. This is why we do not participate in PPO’s or HMO’s, except with Cigna DPPO. While these plans offer economic advantages, they encourage policies that we feel can damage your dental health and reduce your access to advanced care. Should you desire a payment plan, this can be arranged through our third party affiliation with Care Credit.
For the convenience of our patients we accept, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Care Credit.
Emergency Treatment
Dental emergencies don’t run on a schedule, and our staff understands that. When these problems arise, we will make the time for you by staying late, shifting appointments and focusing on getting you out of pain!
Parking Policy
During your appointments in our office, we are able to offer three hour parking validations for patients that take advantage of “The Plaza of The Americas” parking garage. Located on the north east side of our building on San Jacinto Street.
At Denson Downtown Dental, there is no need to be shy! For any additional questions, please call our office at 214-969-0280.
